Sketchbooks have become an important part of my artistic process for the past 8 years. The realms I delve into through these pages are like exploring the past and the future all at once. I am currently working with several sketchbooks at one time. I am especially fond of Kunst and Papier's, Binder Board sketchbooks. They hold gouache wonderfully and I must say I love the sound of the paper when I turn the page. They have become my favorite by far. I also use handmade sketchbooks, I prefer coptic stitch for the easy way it allows the paper to unfold. Every week I dedicate several hours a week to my sketchbooks, some days I have more time than others, and although I wish all days were sketchbook days, it’s important to wander around the world to get fodder for the sketchbooks.
