Community Cats in Levy Park. We have TNr’d over 32 cats in our area over the past 3-4 years. We recently built them a heated shelter that sleeps 6-9. There are other places for them to stay on the property, although, this one is their favorite.

Info on our process;

we get vouchers for a reduced fee for the spay and neuter at Be the solution thrift store on Capital circle. This doesn’t include their shots or meds. for us a cat averages $50-150. Once we get the voucher we go to Animal aid to have them spayed and neutered.

we feed them at least two meals a day, lots of water and somedays they get treats and on the weekend they have catnip weekend.

This work is difficult and without a mission statement I believe it would be even harder. How I see this work is that these are not my cats with the exception of Mr. Magic. They truly are community or feral cats. The service that I provide for them is TNR, food, reliable shelter. I want them to have as good as a life as they can, my work for them is in the living. I try and make the group healthy so that they can all live well, I try not to overly focus on one cat. They die more often then having a pet, and although. it breaks my heart I try not to dwell on it or i would not be able to take care of the group.
